CoolRIOTS opens the beta of DE Studio and 3D App Studio — the next-generation BeX builder platform

CoolRIOTS today opened the beta of DE Studio and 3D App Studio, the next-generation upgrade to the BeX builder platform. Together, the two new Studios give enterprises a single, governed way to build both halves of modern business execution: Digital Employees — AI entities that reason, retrieve information, take action, and converse — and business applications rendered entirely from configuration, with no custom code per customer.

DE Studio: assemble a workforce, not a chatbot

DE Studio is the workspace for creating and managing Digital Employees — first-class AI entities with identity, memory, skills, knowledge, and governance, not chatbot templates. Its centre is the DE Studio Library, a catalog of the reusable building blocks an employee is assembled from: OpCodes (multi-step AI workflows), instructions, API connections, tool integrations, knowledge collections, and delivery channels. Builders assemble an employee visually, tune how it reasons and speaks, and deploy it to web chat, email, voice, WhatsApp, Slack, or Teams as a configuration choice.

A Digital Employee is an entity, not a template. It has identity, memory, and boundaries. It participates in a business process, and when judgment is needed, it hands off to a person — with the full context and an audit trail. That is a fundamentally different thing from a chatbot.

3D App Studio: ship a working app from configuration

3D App Studio lets a builder assemble a complete business application — dashboards, forms, multi-step flows, approvals, and sign-in — entirely from configuration, with no custom code per customer. Every application, even its sign-in and home menu, is built from one small and closed set of building blocks: Source, Capability, Workflow, Journey, Surface, and Identity & Access. AI generates the application's screens at build time, while the running application stays fully deterministic, governed, and auditable.

Both Studios inherit the platform's defining commitment — the GOOD Framework, built into every layer rather than added later:
